'moving matter'

How to turn on the Autodromo of Monza?

By analyzing the park on a perceptual level, we wanted to capture the movement given by the speed of straight lines and the slowness of curved lines in both natural and artificial scape.

Order, dynamism and flexibility are the guidelines that we followed to develop our grids in order to manage the space and the project in each scale. Thanks to the grids’ combination we highlighted three areas: slow, middle, fast. And so our strategy starts: ‘’shaping the movement’’.

We followed the stages of matter as a reference to organize the space from a physical and dynamic point of view. The three areas are translated into: solid, liquid and gaseous areas. In each of them the space is organized as the relationships between molecules through bonds.

The park becomes a sort of continue and immersive narration in which feeling the movement and where users are oriented to be steady, flexible and reactive.
